We sent off for our passports! Amy and I have to get ours renewed and our 3 kids are getting theirs for the first time. MiKenna referred to the pictures as “the ones where we couldn’t smile”. Well, try to tell a 1-year-old that he’s not supposed to smile in his picture! His picture actually turned out pretty good. From here, we wait the standard 4-6 weeks to receive them back, and then send out the paperwork for our work visas. Please pray that we are able to get everything turned around in time so our visas get through when they need to!
We also helped send off our very close friends, Nate and Becky Cook, with their 3 kids (Natalie, Sutton and Beckett). Tuesday, with duffle bags and action packers loaded, they set off to the Africa Inland Mission Headquarters in Georgia, and on Friday they will board a plane for Kijabe, Kenya. For those who didn’t already know, the Lord so graciously led our two families to the same town in Africa! We will head over in October and reunite with these wonderful folks! This made our good-byes so much easier!!! “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” (Ephesians 3:20) Doing ministry overseas with best friends is more than we could have asked for!
